The OneNET Innovation Marathon Competition was launched in Mainland China by China Mobile Group in 2016. It provides a platform for innovators and startups aiming to develop IoT (Internet of Things) products or services, enabling them to showcase their creativity using the OneNET platform. China Mobile Hong Kong has established a Greater Bay Area division of the competition, named the [China Mobile OneNET Innovation Competition (Hong Kong Region)].

Last year, the competition was open to all secondary school students in Hong Kong for the first time, attracting over 80 participating teams. The top four secondary school teams represented the Hong Kong region in the national finals in Chongqing, achieving impressive results.
